Still Becoming

PS (Perpetual Seminarian) is a warm, practical space for inclusive metaphysical ministers and practitioners (and adjacent seekers) still questioning, learning, and showing up.

A dimly lit interior of a place of worship with religious icons on the walls. Lit candles are placed on a stand, casting a gentle glow. Wooden pews are positioned to the right, and the atmosphere is serene and contemplative.
A wooden table holds a sleek black phone stand with a smartphone displaying a webpage featuring a portrait photo and introductory text in sleek typography. To the right, there's a white ceramic vase with a geometric pattern containing bright yellow and green decorative plants, contributing a pop of color. The background is soft and neutral, creating a serene atmosphere.

About Me

I didn’t arrive here in a straight line. (It wasn’t even a “gayly forward” line.)

I grew up in a tradition that told me my wholeness was a sin. I grew and evolved in lay-ministry, even leading in traditions like that anyway, preaching the very theology that was slowly dismantling me from the inside. And then, across years and crossings I couldn’t have planned, something cracked open. I found my way into progressive faith, inclusive Christianity, and eventually metaphysical practice, interfaith community, Human Design, Tarot, energy work, and so many other empowering ways to find my own inner spiritual ground, fragments from everywhere that somehow, slowly, became a whole.

I’m still becoming. Always learning. Still evolving. And that’s not a disclaimer; it’s the methodology.

I’m an inclusive metaphysical minister and practitioner, facilitator, coach, and DEIBJ educator. I served over 22 years in the military carrying identities the institution didn’t always have room for. I’ve trained soldiers as Equal Opportunity leaders and sat in rooms where the people making decisions about inclusion had never had to think about these things for themselves. I’ve been the outsider and the insider, sometimes in the same room, sometimes in the same breath.

What I’ve learned from all of that is that the ministers and spiritual leaders who are most needed right now are the ones who are still in the process. Not finished. Not “arrived,” as if that’s a real destination. And certainly not performing certainty they don’t actually have.

They’re the ones who keep showing up anyway, keep questioning, keep growing, keep serving, keep finding ways to meet people (and themselves) exactly where they are, even when the tradition they inherited stopped having room for them a long time ago.

That’s who this space is for.

If you’re in ministry, or called toward it (or you recognize that what you do is “ministry,” even if there’s another formal name for your work) and you’ve ever felt like you were doing it slightly sideways from the mainstream, carrying identities or theologies or questions that didn’t fit neatly into the container you were handed, you’re in the right place.

Perpetual Seminarian exists because the formation never actually ends, and because the most honest thing a minister can say is “I’m still learning.” And—because the people most hungry for that kind of honesty are often the ones the best seminaries were built for but couldn’t always reach… or the ones still waiting for a path that actually fits.

I’m genuinely glad you’re here.

Much love,

Stanley
